Started

confidential voicemail number (503.224.6559). I will return
your call the same day Monday through Friday (9am - 7pm). I
usually return calls from the weekend on Monday. When we
talk I am happy to answer your questions and to hear a bit
about what you are looking for. If it feels like a fit, we
set up a first appointment.
In the first
appointment. . .
we
start to get to know each other. We talk about what is
going on in your life that brings you in now, and what
you'd like out of counseling. I invite you to tell me what
you think is important for me to know about you. I make
time for you to ask me questions about how I work, and for
me to give you feedback on how I might be helpful to
you.
By the end of
the session. . .
we
make a decision about what comes next. Sometimes people
know right away that they would like to work together -
other times people need to sit with it and come to a
decision later. Finding a good fit is essential, so I want
to support you in that process in whatever way makes sense.
If we decide to
work together. . .
we
agree on a day and time that works for us to meet on a
regular basis. I recommend meeting on a weekly basis. This
way, you get the most value out of therapy because the
frequency and consistency allows us to build trust in our
relationship and keeps the work alive. It may also be the
one time during the week that you carve out just for you -
that you commit to yourself.
Fees and
Payment
I offer a fee
range of $85-$110. I invite you to decide what amount in
that range fits best for you. I ask for payment at the
beginning of each session. I accept cash, checks, VISA
& MC. I do not take insurance.
